Built in 1872, the Bellin Museum quickly rose to prominence as one of the finest institutions on the globe. Collectors, scholars, artists, and philanthropists alike flocked to the Bellin to gaze at her wonders and contribute to her blooming success.
In 1903, the east and west wings were added to accommodate an expanding collection and growing patronage. Today, the Bellin stands as a symbol of the achievements we can reach together. That the beauty and wonder of art and history does not waver with the passing of time. Come, be inspired with us.

The mission of the Bellin Museum is to preserve and protect the history and art of our shared culture while promoting exploration, inspiration, and creation of the arts.
Communication means more than just talking to your peers, it means listening, learning, and responding appropriately, no matter the moment.
Collaboration is the key to growth, the founder of the Bellin, Sir Oliver Atkinson, wrote in his journal while gazing upon the Nile River Valley and deciding to create this institution.
Commemorating the success of our peers is the foundation of the Bellin. We celebrate you for you and encourage you to be your best self while working at the museum.
As the Apprentice Security Guard, you'll be responsible for the safety and security of our patrons and art. Positions include gallery sitting, event security, perimeter checks, alarm setting, and opening and closing the museum. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
As Assistant Curator of Decorative Arts, you'll research, record, and write on the Bellin's permanent collection of decorative arts from Britain, Australia, and the Americas from 1882 to 1945. Experience handling collections, restoring furniture, and giving tours is preferred.
